Porlock Vale CIC is developing a range of services for the local community, visitors and businesses. We need your help to ensure that everyone in Porlock Vale gets the support they need. Porlock Vale is a rural community focused on enhancing support for vulnerable groups, including unpaid carers, isolated individuals, and young families.

The Changing Landscape of Adult Social Care

Adult social care is experiencing significant changes on a national scale—changes that are broader and more profound than many of us could have imagined. As we all grow older, there will likely come a time when we require additional support to continue living well in our own homes and within our local community.

Collaborative Efforts for Community Wellbeing

Recognising the unique needs and strengths of each area, Somerset Council has taken a forward-thinking approach by partnering with community organisations throughout Somerset. By working together, we can ensure that the priorities of each community are understood and addressed.

We are pleased to share that Porlock Vale CIC has recently received a grant from Somerset Community Foundation. This funding will enable us to explore ways to enhance our community services and support systems. Our efforts also align closely with our vision for the Community Café, which aims to deliver a welcoming space and valuable resources for everyone. Porlock Vale CIC is grateful to Somerset Community Foundation for their support for the residents of Porlock Vale.
